First of all I feel like I need to rewind and start from my first beginnings with Baby James. In November of 2008, this sweet boy was placed in the care of my good friends. I can remember several things about that week and look back now with a smile at how good God is and how He is always light years in front of us seeing, planning, and knowing each step that lies ahead. To make a very sweet story short--Amber called me to take photos of this baby and I couldn't get there fast enough. Because of many circumstances that existed at that time, we were not able to make these photos completely public. It's funny how sometimes my favorite photos are the ones that cannot be made public to you for one reason or another. It is certainly my pleasure now to take you back to the evening of November 20, 2008 and show you James' very first photos with Chad and Amber. For anyone that may not know yet--James is well on his way to being a permanent part of Chad and Amber's home. I love calling him their son and it's even more fun calling them Mommy and Daddy.

Fast forward to April 25, 2009. Baby James is now one year old. His Daddy and Mommy gave him a fun party and many, many people that adore him came out to shower him with love. Some of his family was not able to come and I know they will especially enjoy these photos of the day. There is one special lady serving the Lord in another country that has laid awake since Saturday waiting on them. :o) There is no rhyme or reason to the subjects or order of these photos. They are just of anyone that happened to be in front of my lens at the time.

Everytime I get near his cute head I have to run my fingers through his beautiful curls. I wonder how long he will tolerate that from me? I hope at least through the College and Career ministry. :o)

This guy in the van is next on my list--he just doesn't know it yet. :o)

Brooke had such a great time that she took the tea home with her. Thanks Mr. Todd.
